Phase 2: Collection
Even in the best case scenario, where the entire community does its utmost to prevent waste, some materials need to be discarded. These are also known as the trash that ends up in bins and containers in the home, in the workplace and everywhere else human beings gather. The trash generated will eventually end up on the curb and every week Selikor will drive by to collect it. In fact, one of Selikor’s most important tasks is island-wide waste collection. Our goal is, whenever possible, to collect waste at the source; where it is generated.
There are a few things you can do to make sure all waste is collected in a timely and efficient manner, such as keeping your living and work area clean, using the right trash cans and bins and making sure you are aware when the weekly pick-up will take place in your neighborhood.
